Casa Julia by Papa Lisa

A takeaway pizza, a scrawny, undercooked calzone... I had in mind Papa Lisa's magnificent cordon bleu... Their pizzas are truly awful, yet a pizza isn't complicated to make. But they don't even make that anymore. I remember Casa Julia from four years ago... Complete disappointment

Where to begin? The positive point... The waitress was kind. Everything else was negative. I ordered a hanger steak with shallots and a breaded veal escalope with cream sauce... What can I say? BAD... The hanger steak was far too thick, the sauce was watery, and to top it all off, the metal container with the side dish was just placed on the plate, swimming in sauce. The veal escalope was as thin as a sheet of paper, very tough and dry, more breading than meat, really not good. The same goes for the basket of fries placed in the sauce on the plate. The rosé wasn't even served in an ice bucket; in this heat, it quickly became undrinkable. The bill was hard to swallow. Very expensive for low-quality food. I certainly won't be back. When I read the comments from dissatisfied customers, I think it would be wise to review the quality.

We rediscovered this restaurant; the welcome and service were friendly. The staff is energetic and attentive. We enjoyed a delicious meal on a very pleasant terrace.

Very disappointed by this experience. This is the third time I've been to this restaurant, and unfortunately, it's the third time I've left disappointed. We chose this establishment because it's part of the Papa Lisa chain. We trusted this chain and gave it three chances, but each time we were let down. Today, we arrived in the evening, were seated, and then ordered our drinks. It was only when we went to order our food that we were told the kitchen was closed and only pizzas were available. This is really a shame, as this should have been clearly stated before we were seated and before our drink order was taken. Having no other choice, I ended up ordering a pizza. Unfortunately, the quality was very disappointing: I ordered a seafood pizza, but the ingredients weren't cooked. Furthermore, the pastry was undercooked and the bottom was completely burnt, almost black as coal. I even took pictures because it was so obvious. When you go to a restaurant, you expect a minimum of transparency, service, and quality. Unfortunately, none of that was there. After three bad experiences, I cannot recommend this establishment.

Fantastic evening with friends! The waiter was super friendly and knew how to cater to his customers. The food was just as good as at Papa Lisa, and the daily specials were varied and original. We'll definitely be back 😉

I've come regularly with my children and it's always been very good, and the service is excellent. The meals and desserts are delicious and my children love coming to eat here.

Honestly, a terrible experience at Casa Julia. The food was simply disgusting, tasteless, and poorly prepared… it's hard to imagine anything worse. It's a wonder it even makes it to the dining room. The only positive point: the waitress, who was absolutely fantastic, professional, and pleasant despite the circumstances. It's almost heartbreaking to feel sorry for her… And even more so for the young woman alone in the kitchen, who seemed completely overwhelmed. The poor woman, left alone in those conditions… it's a disgrace. In short, absolutely avoid this place.
